How do I confirm a function date?

Function dates are confirmed by payment of a 25% deposit, together with a signed copy of the Wedding Venue Hire Agreement.

How late can our function go?

Functions are for a maximum of a 5 hour duration from our event start time. 12:00am is the latest end time to your function. Please note that events held on Cronulla Surf Life Saving Club must have patrons off the premises by midnight. For events held in Purcell Room, the doors and windows must be closed at 10pm with all guests inside

Can I extend beyond the package time?

We do only permit events to be a maximum of 5 hours.

Am I able to upgrade the beverage package?

Yes, extra charges would incur in your per head prices. Upgrades are also listed in the wedding package.

Can I bring my own alcohol and food?

The premises are fully licensed therefore liquor and food may not be brought onto the premises.

What are the parking arrangements?

Cronulla RSL has its own parking facilities, underneath and across the road for members and guests. However, parking is limited and there may be circumstances where fees may apply. Special arrangements can be made for the Bride, Groom and Bridal Party.

Is there transport available at the end of the evening?

Reception will be available to call a taxi if needed.

Do you have a courtesy bus available to be booked after the wedding which will deliver guests home?

Yes we do have a courtesy bus available that would be pre-organised with the Cronulla RSL Reception staff.  It is available exclusively to Club members for as little as $2 – $5pp per trip.  This is within a 5km radius. Other arrangements can be made upon request. Details can be found on the Cronulla RSL website

What time can contractors start bringing their equipment in and/or setting up?

A time is to be pre-organised with the Function Manager.

Are we able to hold our ceremony?

We do have other areas of the club depending on the time of the ceremony however this may be a public area. You are able to have your ceremony in your function room. This is at the discretion of the Function Manager.

Does the reception 5 hours commence when guests enter the room?

Yes, the time you nominate for your reception to start is the commencement of the 5 hours.

Is there another area for guests to attend in between the ceremony and reception time?

Yes, guests are to sign in the club and are able to go in any other areas, other than the function room whilst waiting for it to commence.

Do guests of the reception need to be members to attend the wedding reception?

As Cronulla RSL is a registered club, all guests attending an event within Cronulla RSL will need to sign into the club upon arrival. If however you have any guests who live within our 5km radius and they are not members, then they will need to be signed in by a member. If guests are attending an event in Cronulla Surf Life Saving Club they will not need to sign in on arrival.

Is there a wedding tasting available?

Yes, free for the Bride & Groom only. Additional guests are charged at $85 per head. A maximum of 6 guests are permitted for menu tastings.

When is the final payment due?

Final payment and numbers are due two weeks prior to your wedding date.

How many meetings are required?

There is an initial meeting to supply you with all the information and then possibly another two to three. All details are finalised two weeks prior to your event date.

Will there be an area for the Bridal Party to freshen up with a few drinks/canapés prior to entering your reception venue?

Yes Cronulla RSL has its very own bridal suite. It includes bathroom suite, lounges & makeup area.

Will someone be available to decorate the room prior to the wedding?

Yes, a meeting will be arranged to discuss your requests. Additional fees may apply.
